Some hip hop to start your Friday in the right way. This is Robert Tate, a young rapper from Ohio. You can hear his new single ‘High Noon’ and also read the letter we just got in from the man himself! We like the personal touch around here.

“Hello, my name is Rob Tate. I’m a 20 year old artist from Dayton, OH and I’m writing to share a video I recently released titled ‘high noon.’ It is my first video release from my project noon. which has gotten some high praise around the states + Europe, as well as critical reception from artists such as Homeboy Sandman.

The purpose of ‘high noon.’ was to illustrate a refreshing perspective and lyrical depth…not really the corny hipster multi-syllabic “depth”; rather, more of an observant and careful use of words and sounds.

I released this video in preparation for my upcoming free album called the down. I’m hesitant to reveal too much information but I plan to release a song this November.
