Women’s Christmas are Son Christmas, Boy Christmas and Kid Christmas of Dublin. Forming in June 2013, their aim was to capitalize on The Replacements reunion and possible accompanying wave of nostalgia for scrappy out-dated boozy alt-rock.

Combining the toughness of Jogging, the heart of Villagers and the sissiness of No Monster Club (of which each of its members also belong to), Women’s Christmas have consistently tried to rewrite The Thermals’ best song and inject it with the fuzzed out wonky joy of Ronald Jones-era Flaming Lips (1993 – 1996).

After signing a publishing deal with FatCat Records (Sigur Ros, Animal Collective, Mice Parade) earlier this year and playing sold-out shows with The War On Drugs and Girls Names, they have now joined forces with Out On A Limb Records. OOAL will release their 12 track debut LP “Too Rich For Our Blood” (produced by local wunderkind Mark Chester of Ginnels) on 24th October 2014.

The baby blue vinyl LP features artwork by award winning illustrator and children’s book author Chris Judge and is made up of 12 new bullet-to-the-heart/heart-on-sleeve (bullet-to-the-sleeve?) beautifully gut-wrenching earworms.
