This sounds a fun event that would be well worth checking out, and it’s also free! The first performance is Sunday the 24th in Merrion square with subsequent performances in Ranelagh Gardens in September. The list of writers and actors involved is pretty impressive, so do check it out.
Angels in the Park is a series of new 10-minute Irish plays about contemporary Ireland, which Shiva Productions has been performing free to the public in parks around Dublin since September 2013. Four plays from their current series will be performed in Merrion Square on Sunday 24th August at 3pm (Meet at the Oscar Wilde statue) and a brand new selection of plays will be performed at lunchtime in Ranelagh Gardens from September 22nd-27th daily for Ranelagh Arts Festival (Meet at 1pm at the open space at Ranelagh Triangle, outside Spar). Sponsored by Dublin City Council in a bid to make the arts more accessible, it will feature plays by new and established Irish writers including Peter Sheridan and Catherine Barry.
