This must be one of the best venues for a gig you could imagine! Tara is an amazing location, so great to hear it is being used. The gig in question is a one day festival including Jack Lukeman, Hothouse Flowers and The Riptide Movements, so pretty impressive in its own right.

Tara Rocks! Music festival will be taking place beside the Hill of Tara on 23rd August 2014. This one-day music festival promotes the best of Irish music and is proud to announce Jack Lukeman, Hothouse Flowers and The Riptide Movements as their headline acts.

The Hill of Tara, famous for its tradition of Irish Royalty, will now see Irish Rock Royalty Jack Lukeman & Band take to the hills. They will be joined by a plethora of Irish acts across three stages, such as Hothouse Flowers, The Riptide Movement, The Furry Gilberts, Trigger & The Hitmen, Brother Shabo & The Soul Rebels, Liam Byrne and many more. In total, over 15 bands will play over 3 stages on the day.

The Main Stage gets underway at 5pm, while the Stables Original Room will feature ‘Open Mic’ performances from local bands at and the Lounge Stage will be a ‘Jamming Session’ where everybody is invited to showcase their musical talent whether it’s singing a song or playing an instrument. The Stables and Lounge Stage will both start at 2pm.

As well as music to suit one and all, festival fans can expect a taste sensation at Tara Rocks! as a wide variety of food outlets on site will feed the hungry masses. From Ma’s Browne’s Famous Burgers (selling every burger imaginable from Crocodile to Wild Boar Burgers) to Japanese Food Markets and Malone’s Fish and Chips.

The festival is ideally located, just 4 miles outside Navan and only 20 minutes from the M50. Tara Rocks! encourages the use of public transport and the 109 bus stops on the festival’s door step, with buses leaving Navan or Dublin every 30 minutes. The 109A bus route brings visitors directly from Dublin Airport to the site.
