Youbloom have just announced a new twist on this years events. As well as a crop of young bands from around the world, each venue hosted by a particular band such as Hamsandwich, The Young Folk, Sleep Thieves, I Draw Slow, I’m Your Vinyl, The Eskies to name but a few! Global Music Village to Offer Music Conferences, Education and Live Gigs

youbloom@Dublin, the global music village, has announced its festival line up, taking place in the Dame District from 13th-15th June 2014, youbloom@Dublin incorporates both a music conference offering a chance to learn from and network with industry professionals and live gigs to showcase emerging talent. The event’s ambassadors include Bob Geldof, Eleanor McEvoy and Colm O’Snodaigh (KILA), who join an international collective of musicians, fans and industry professionals whose mission is to ensure every aspiring artist has the skills needed to make it in the music industry.
youbloom@Dublin gigs are free to the public in participating venues in the Dame District including The Mercantile, Sweeney’s Odessa, The Bankers, The International and 4 Dame Lane. With over 90 acts from 10 countries including USA, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Eastern Europe, this year’s festival will feature a different line up in each venue over three nights. In a new initiative youbloom is pleased to announce that each night in each venue will be hosted by an established Irish act including, Hamsandwich, The Young Folk, Carol Keogh and the City Fathers, Buffalo Sunn, Old Hannah, Sleep Thieves, I Draw Slow, Samuel Vas Y, The Niall Mc Cabe Band, Ross Breen, John Blek and The Rats, I’m Your Vinyl, The Oddsocks Revival, The Eskies, Fiach Moriarty and some very special surprise guests to be announced. This year’s live music festival will be further enhanced by an outdoor busking event taking place throughout the Dame District, held by one of our main sponsors, Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey. A celebration of the spirit of buskers and the contribution they make to our towns and cities, the busking event will see well known Irish buskers including Gavin Glass, NC Lawlor, The Brand New Switcharoo, Ray Scully, Old Hannah and Samuel Vas-Y, amongst others.
Saturday June 14th and Sunday June 15th will see the youbloom@Dublin music conference taking place in the Royal College of Surgeons. The conference comprises panels, masterclasses and learning rooms and this year’s key note speaker will be founder of Creation and Oasis manager, Alan McGee who will participate in a Q&A session with journalist and music critic Neil Mc Cormack.
