So, is that it? Is it officially the end of Oscar season? There’s still a couple of movies worth seeing, so we shouldn’t complain too bitterly.
Out of the Furnace is another one of those ensemble movies that stars most of Hollywood. It boasts Casey Affleck, Christian Bale, Forest Whitaker, Sam Shepard, Willem Dafoe, Woody Harrelson and Zoe Saldana, so a pretty impressive cast. If you want to hear what the Horse has to say, click here.
Journal de France is another one we enjoyed. A sad and simple tale of an aging photographer, who spends his time touring the french countryside, taking photos of a world that is slipping away. Our review is here.
That Awkward Moment is a new creation, the ‘Brom Com’ according to our review. Does the world need a Brom Com? Possibly not, but I guess a bit of lighthearted entertainment can’t hurt. It’s the story of a group of male friends dealing with lessons in love.

I really thought Lone Survivor looked more than a little suspect, but the reviews are better than I expected! “On June 28, 2005 mission “Operation Red Wing” tasked four members of SEAL Team 10 to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader, Ahmad Shahd. Only one member of the team survived.”
Is there really anyone left that still likes Lance Armstrong? He’s not a very nice man, and this tells his story of how he tried to convince the world of his lie. The Armstrong Lie is made by one of the best documentary film makers around, and started life as a fluffy hero piece, before it got ugly. See Oprah for details…
