Body of Soul – Early Bird Tickets Available

Body and Soul

It really does seem very cold outside to be talking about the longest day of next year, but that’s where we are, as the Body & Soul weekend is taking place next year on June 20th to 22nd. I guess comedy gigs are announced a good year in advance, so why not summer festivals in November? If the line up is half as good as last year, this should be a blast. Full details are below.

Summer Solstice Festival Weekend, June 20th-22nd, 2014

Body&Soul has today announced that Early Bird weekend tickets for the fifth anniversary festival in 2014, starting at €79.50, will be released this Friday, 22nd of November at 10.30am. The trailblazing event will take place bang in the middle of the age-old Summer Solstice festival weekend of June 20th – 22nd.

This year there will be a tiered ticketing system and an instalment payment plan. A limited number of weekend tickets will be sold in each price tier. Early birds (Tier 1) go on sale 10.30am this Friday 22nd November. Once Tier 1 tickets sell out, Tier 2, Tier 3, 4 and 5 will become available. So, get your tickets early at the lowest Tier 1 price while available.

Only 50 minutes from Dublin, the festival is set in the ethereal surrounds of 15th century Ballinlough Castle Estate, Co. Westmeath. This quirky festival never fails to thrill even the most discerning festival-goers with the most dynamic and diverse programme on the island. Electronic beats alongside disco, soul and rock ‘n’ roll, coupled with a midnight masquerade ball, five-course gormet feasts, performance theatre, holistic arts, tented talks, a dedicated soul kids garden and a strong ethos of sustainability make this boutique festival the pick of the summer.

Body and Soul 2013

Although organisers remain tight-lipped about the 2014 musical line up, last year’s offering featured a selection of ground breaking artists alongside alternative icons, revolutionary game changers and a hybrid of bright new talent… Extraordinary highlights included funk and soul from Solange Knowles and electronic beats from Nicolas Jaar. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds gave a stunning seminal performance and Public Image Ltd and Jon Hopkins created quite a stir.
