Those wonderful people at Young Hearts Run Free have a couple of events worth a mention in the Fringe Festival, and as ever, it’s all in aid of the Simon Community. The list of names they’ve got involved is really impressive and Saturday night in the Fumbally is not to be missed!

Kevin Barry, David O’Doherty, a radio presentation by Sounds Alive, Caoimhín Ó’Raghallaigh & Nic Gareiss, Tieranniesaur, Come on Live Long, Mossy Nolan Katie Kim, David Turpin reading a story, Niamh McCormack and Peter Toomey playing some wonderful records, as ever.

Life has Surface Noise – This is the second event, and is on at the Project Arts Centre on Monday the 16th at 8.15.
What is it about a song that just catches you at a particular moment and stops time? Music Journalist, Scholar, and all-round arts eclectic Siobhán Kane, accompanied by singer-songwriter Adrian Crowley presents an exploration of music and its meaning in our lives; mingling memoir and criticism, with some live accompaniment, and surprise contributions. Confirmed so far for the evening are Donal Lunny, the author of Greenbeat Darragh O’Halloran and DJ Peter Toomey.
