So, what’s new in the darkened movie theatres around the country then? Well, not a classic week for new releases sadly, but we’ll make do.
With ‘Bling Ring‘ Sofia Coppola continues to prove that Lost in Translation was a bit of a one off, and that she’s really not terribly good! We shall see, maybe her next effort will rock the world but by the sound of things, this is another movie you could live without, as average to poor reviews abound. The story is of pretty young things robbing Hollywood stars.
From the trailer below, you’ll see that Ben Wheatley’s (Kill List and Sightseers) new movie ‘A field in England‘ looks truly bizarre. It is set during the English Civil war and deals with two men fleeing across a field before they are confronted by some dangerous men, according to IMDB. Seriously, that’s what it says! It has a tiny budget but looks like it could be quite mad/ fun and has got the best of the reviews this week.
There are no words for how bad the trailer for ‘Now you see me’ looks. It’s about magicians who rob banks, or some other guff, and it’s by the director of The Transporter AND The Transporter 2. All things considered, it’s getting surprisingly average reviews. The cast looks pretty good though, with Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, so maybe they saved it!
The Internship doesn’t need reviews as the people who like this sort of thing will like this sort of thing, and those that don’t… It stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
