On “July 28th” we see “The Heads” guitarist and Bristol native Simon Price working solo and in instrumental mode. This new track heralds the arrival of “K20” a “Kandodo” full length release on August 19th. The track is a beautifully rich study in interwoven guitar lines and percussion. Citing the influence of animist religion, dusty drives and his upbringing in Malawi amongst other things; when sailing under the “Kandodo” flag, the punk psychedelic pace and energy of “The Heads” is forgone. Instead we are presented with, to use Mr. Price’s description, “fuzzy lullabies”. Perhaps he does himself a disservice, on this evidence we will be waiting eagerly for “K20”
