Jamie xx seems to have the world at his feet right about now. His day job, the xx have just announced their first gig in the biggest indoor venue in Dublin, the O2 (June 26th). What’s next? Croke Park? Who knows.
He’s not doing to bad with his side projects either, as he’s re-mix/ production gold dust and his DJ sets are selling out left, right and centre. That’s why it’s exciting to have him DJing at the Button Factory just before Paddy’s day.
Here’s what you can expect, with one of his (and Caribous) sets at the boiler room. I’d imagine there will be some interesting sounds on the night in question. Tickets are €25 euro. It’s a late night set (starting at 11), and should finish well into Paddy’s day morning!
Trivia: Did you know that the xx, Hot Chip, Burial and Four Tet all went to the same school? Elliott School in Putney, England. Must be something in the water…
