Everything’s gone a little bit fuzzy around here, with our own Matthew Barks about to take the stage at the ten year anniversary of Deputy Fuzz! There are a few other events, but nothing to compare to the Fuzz! I’ll mention the other events in passing below, but you all know you should be upstairs in Whelans on Friday night (21st December)!

Art – Eithne Jordan’s new exhibition ‘Street’ continues at the RHA with some familiar streets in Dublin featured! John Beattie’s video pieces continue in the same venue. Alice Maher‘s show at IMMA (Earlsfort Terrace) is really impressive, and the Sidney Nolan exhibition is at the other IMMA;  Kilmainham. Tribal Textiles from Iran continues in the Douglas Hyde. Stepping Into the Light (Group show including Pat Scott) continues at the Hugh Lane.

Private Galleries: Siobhan Hapaska & Stephen McKenna are at the Kerlin. The Winter show (Group show) is at the Taylor Gallery. Hibernation (Group show) is at the Oliver Sears.

Theatre – The Dead is running the Abbey our review is here . Cousin Rachel is at the Gate for the Christmas! Jezebel by Rough Magic runs until the 22nd in the Project cube. The Dazzling Cabaret Revolution is at the New Theatre until the 22nd.

Movies – A season of Christmas movies starts at the Lighthouse. Gremlins and Elf are on this week. There’s also an unusual Hitchcock season at the IFI, with some of his lesser know movies. Stage Fright and I Confess are on this week. The Muppet Christmas Carroll is on tomorrow at the Sugar Club!

Gigs – A few good ones this week, Deputy Fuzz, Fionn Regan and Pugwash & Ken Stringfellow (Big Star) are the must sees! Full gig guide below the videos.
