Another good week ahead, with a few gems out there. I’m looking forward to the Yellow Wallpaper in the Project Arts, and The Dirty Three on Friday!
Art – Eithne Jordan’s new exhibition ‘Street’ continues at the RHA, with John Beattie opens in the same venue on the same night! Alice Maher‘s show at IMMA (Earlsfort Terrace) is really impressive, especially some of the video pieces. The Sidney Nolan exhibition is at IMMA Kilmainham. Merlin James finishes on the 24th at the Kerlin. Pat Harris is at the Taylor Gallery until the 17th. Hibernation (Group show) is at the Oliver Sears. Tribal Textiles from Iran start in the Douglas Hyde this Friday
Theatre – Dorian Gray continues at the Abbey, and the Peacock has Quietly. The Poor Mouth by Blue Raincoat continues at the Project, and continues until the 24th. Yellow Wallpaper is on in the Cube at the Project. Cousin Rachel returns to the Gate this Wednesday and will be around for the Christmas!
Movies – The French Film Festival continues at the IFI and has a few gems that are worth seeing.
Burlesque – Dublin Burlesque festival starts at the Sugar Club and should be quite a show!
Gigs – It’s a pretty good week for gigs, nearly too many to pick from Dirty Three, Father John Misty, Jens Lekman. There’s also the final Richter Collective show featuring Redneck Manifesto, not Squares etc.
