Last time I saw Willy in Dublin, it was in the Button Factory and it was packed to the rafters. Admittedly, that was a while ago, as his last album is now five years old! Ah yes, 2007, the end of the Tiger years, God rest it’s soul.
In the mean time, Willy seems to have been downgraded to a Whelans performer, which is great news from my perspective, as it’s a special venue. I’d say this one will sell out quickly, so might be worth booking on Friday (2nd Nov) when the tickets are released. They’re going for 15 euro, which isn’t too bad at all.
Here’s a taster from his new album.
