Mario Balotelli

Italian international Mario Balotelli is visiting our shores this weekend, as part of the Dublin Super Magic cup in the Aviva stadium. While he is a quite good player in his own right, today I’m going to focus on purely negative parts of his personality. He really is everything I love about the modern footballer, arrogant, egotistical and just lots of fun to watch.

He is the guy who spent his whole time at Inter Milan talking about his great love for AC Milan, a thing that surprisingly didn’t go down that well with the locals! He had to come off a game last season for Man City due to an allergy of grass, which is a dangerous thing for a footballer, but his finest moment has to be his battle with a bib below.

In the last week, he was subbed after twenty minutes of a friendly match for doing this.

He also gets the odd red card doing things like this.

I have to say, I think sport needs guys like this, who are just as likely to score a screamer as they are to kick the referee, so to Mario, I salute you! Have a good weekend in Dublin.
