This sounds an odd one, but hopefully it’ll be as good as his previous efforts. Dave McKean is about to release his first major work since Cages. This new graphic novel is called ‘Celluloid’ and deals mainly with… ah… well, Sex!

My first thought is to give him the benefit of the doubt, but having read Alan Moore’s ‘Lost Girls’ you have to be worried it could be pretty suspect. We shall see. There’s an interview with him discussing it here. Here’s what he says himself about the book: “The woman starts by being the voyeur, and through a series of events that strip away her self-consciousness, she becomes the subject of voyeurism, but stands up, confronts that and exits.” At least it should look good!
