Some of the best gigs I’ve been to have been ones where I really wasn’t sure what to expect, and wandered along because someone else wanted to go, or because I was bored on a Tuesday evening. This, is such a Tuesday evening (well, you know what I mean).

Talvin Singh & Niladri Kumar are playing tonight in Crawdaddy. Talvin won the mercury prize 12 years ago, and like so many previous winners, never really made the step up to the big stage. Still, he’s an interesting guy, and with this album ‘Together’ he works with Niladri who is a sitar player of some repute. Fingers crossed for the evening ahead!
