The new song from the National ‘Think you can wait’ leads me in two directions…

The wonderful lilting backing vocals on the song are from Sharon Van Etten, who is someone worth checking out. She’s a singer/ songwriter from New Jersey, who reminds me of Margo Timmins of the Cowboy Junkies. Lovely stuff!

The song ‘Think you can wait’ is taken from the soundtrack for the new movie ‘Win Win’ by Thomas McCarthy, the director as the Visitor (2007) and the Station Agent (2003) which are two lovely movies. It’s getting positive reviews from almost any direction I’ve looked in, and stars Paul Giamatta (Sideways, Barney’s Vision). One to look forward to.
