Its officially official, in that its definitely happening, unless there’s another volcano or if he gets a cold or something. Anyway, Sufjan is coming to town, he’s playing the Olympia on the 17th and 18th of May, with tickets at 45.20 before rip off fees. From his gigs in Australia, he doesn’t play any of his old material before the encore, which is a pity, but he plays the new album with a full band (not electronic bleeps!). Here’s a sample of the new show from Sydney Opera House. It looks… colourful! Tickets on sale Friday.
Forbidden Fruit looks as good a mini festival as i’ve seen in Ireland since the days of Sunstroke in Dalymount (god, was that really ’94?). Flaming Lips headline the saturday night, but the Sunday looks the better of the two days with Caribou, Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip, Battles and Apex Twin. Not to be missed, tickets again on sale Friday!

Think only the early bird tickets went on sale today, and they were gone before I wrote it! there might still be some one day tickets, as i didn’t check those, only the weekend pass. Its a damn good line up. One day tickets are the same price as Sufjan, which makes him seem very expensive!
