None of these will rock your world, but if you’re looking for a night out, you could do a lot worse than some of this lot.
Couple of new announcements worth a mention, first up, Nick Cave’s Grinderman have added a second date to their stay in Vicar street, on June 19th (tickets at 49 euro). Cold War Kids are coming back, and playing a date in the Academy on May 17th (tickets 26 euro). Hated by Pitchfork among others, Mumford and Sons are playing the Olympia on March 18th (ok, that clashes with the second of the predicted Sufjan dates! tickets are 28 euro). Manic Street Preachers are back in the Olympia on May 16th. Architecture in Helsinki play the Button Factory on April 15th, if it still exists!
Noah and the whale’s first date in Whelans in April has sold out, so they’ve added another date in the Academy this time on 8th of May. They seem to be making the step up to ‘big band’ status, and I have to say, I’ve a soft spot for them.
