First off, any surprises? People they missed out? I don’t think so really. All comes within standard parameters of what we know as ‘Oscars’!
The long list of ‘best movie’ nominations makes it a bit of a joke, as most things seem to make it. I’d be happy with Winter’s Bone winning best actress, but I guess even that is unlikely. King’s Speech is a dull movie in truth, and will probably win most things.
Still a few on the list I haven’t seen yet, such as ‘the Fighter’ and ‘True Grit’, So we’ll wait and see on those ones.
