Album of the Week – 26/03/26

After a slow week last week, there’s an embarrassment of riches this week! So, without further ado, we’d recommend any or all of the following.

We secretly love Courtney Barnett, so her new album Creature of Habit is a bit of a delight. There is a gem from The New Pornographers (The Former Site Of) that you should make an effort to check out. Under normal circumstances, either of these would be good enough to be our Album of the Week, but not this week…

David Gray is doing his thing with his new album Nightjar. There was a time when it looked like José González would conquer the world. It didn’t quite happen. He’s always interesting, though, as is his new album Against The Dying Of The Light. There’s the wonderfully named Holy Fuck (Event Beat) along with releases from Ty Myers (Heavy On The Soul) and Nina Hagen (HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN).

For our album of the week, we couldn’t resist the new release from The Twiglight Sad called It’s the Long Goodbye….
