Album of the Week – 21/11/25

We’re almost in silly season, where the ‘Best of’ lists rule the earth and no sensible artist/ band releases new material, but we’re not quite there yet! So, enjoy it while it lasts.

This week sees new releases from De La Soul (Cabin in the Sky) and Ella Eyre (everything, in time). There are also some oddities from Fine Young Cannibals (FYC40) and Rufus Wainwright and the Pacific Jazz Orchestra (I’m a Stranger Here Myself – Wainwright Does Weill).

Album of the Week – Keaton Henson – Parader

Enigmatic polymath Keaton Henson has shared details of his highly anticipated new album Parader .Out on 21st November via PlayItAgainSam, the announcement comes alongside the release of a sardonic new single titled ‘Insomnia’. Parader marks Henson’s ninth studio album and his first since 2024’s Somnambulant Cycles.

It also follows his recent return single “LazyMagician” (co-written by Ratboys’ Julia Steiner), which was released in July, earning support from the likes of Rolling Stone UK, Crack, Th eLine Of Best Fit, The New Cue, Stereogum, Under The Radar, and Gold Flake Paint, who said it’hinted“at a bold new chapter on the horizon; a restless and romanticre-defining.”
