Album of the Week – 09/05/25

New sounds this week from the likes of I’m With Her (Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins) (Wild and Clear and Blue), Preoccupations (Ill at Ease) and Nils Frahm (Night). We’re slightly disappointed by the new album from Arcade Fire (Pink Elephant), but maybe it’s a grower?

Our album of the week comes from Thom and Mark! They’ve been talking about this one for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. You can hear a sample of it below… If anyone made it to the IFI last night, please let us know your thoughts on the screening event mentioned below!

Album of the Week – Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke – Tall Tales

“Pioneering electronic musician and producer Mark Pritchard and The Smile / Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke have shared “The Spirit”, the final single from their highly anticipated collaborative album Tall Tales, out today via Warp Records. It also lands the same day as a special global cinema event, in which fans will be able to hear the album alongside its accompanying feature film a day ahead of release – dates may vary for certain locations (more info and tickets are available from Tall-Tales.info).”
