A Year in Music – 2024 – Jamie Cameron (The Last Dinosaur)

Is there any artist or album that defined the year for you?

The King of Misery, my friend Daudi Matsiko defined this year alongside Jack In Water, Will Clapson. Heroes among men.

Did you get to many gigs this year?

Very little, actually, although pretty much every Sunday I go to a place in Palma for a jam that a good friend, Juanda, runs each week. It’s a special thing to behold. Energising evenings with a community of beautiful souls.

Do you think it will get to the stage where the ‘big concert’ is unaffordable for most of us?

Horrifyingly I think it will get to the stage where clean water is unaffordable for most of us.

What’s your reaction if Stairway To Heaven comes on the radio?

“Why is the radio on?”

Anything interesting in the works yourself for 2025?

I pretty much say this every year but next year I’ll be releasing quite a few songs, finally. Life is too short to sit on things you’re proud of.
