Ok, so we went for the obvious one, what of it? Yes, it’s probably the most high-profile release of the year to date and it’s also our album of the week. Some are calling it Radiohead lite but it sounds damn good, nonetheless!
Other albums we’d happily recommend (and would possibly have won otherwise) include Future Islands (People Who Aren’t There Anymore), Gruff Rhys (Sadness Sets Me Free), Ty Segall – (Three Bells) and even William Elliott Whitmore (Silent, the Mind Breaks). Yes, it’s a damn fine week for new music…
