New Irish Music – Chequerboard – Vermilion

John Lambert who records as Chequerboard has just released his latest single, Vermilion, a taster for his fourth album Souvenir which comes out in March 2024.

For those familiar with Chequerboard this won’t disappoint with Lambert’s beautiful, ringing guitar and gorgeous ambient noises.  It bodes well for the new album, which he plans to launch at a show in the Pepper Canister Church on March 9th.

He will be joined by Barry O’Halpin on guitar and Lioba Petrie and Mary Barnecutt on cello, with support coming from Unshaped Form.  Tickets are available here.
