Movies This Week – 13-06-18
I’m waiting for a week I can’t describe as slow, it’s been a while. Another poor week at the cinema, but we do eventually get to see Hereditary, after the many, many weeks of hype! Let’s hope it lives up to it. The other one of interest is Studio 54, a documentary on the famous night club for the stars. We shall ignore Super Troopers 2, and you should probably do the same!

Studio 54 – 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (7 Reviews)
Director(s): Matt Tyrnauer
Studio 54 was the epicenter of 70s hedonism–a place that not only redefined the nightclub, but also came to symbolize an entire era. Its co-owners, Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell, two friends from Brooklyn, seemed to come out of nowhere to suddenly preside over a new kind of New York society. Now, 39 years after the velvet rope was first slung across the club’s hallowed threshold, a feature documentary tells the real story behind the greatest club of all time.
Super Troopers 2 – 33% on Rotten Tomatoes
Director(s): Jay Chandrasekhar
Writers(s): Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske
Actors: Rob Lowe, Marisa Coughlan, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Lynda Carter
When a border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers are tasked with establishing a Highway Patrol station in the disputed area.
