Tickets are 11 euro and are available here.

Glasshouse will perform Ólafur Arnalds’ second album  “…And They Have Escaped the Weight of Darkness” in full along with some of his other ‘hits’ tomorrow night (1st Dec) in the Pepper Canister Church, and it promises to be something quite special with ‘lighting design and visual installations’. Full details are below.

“Glasshouse are a newly formed ensemble of eight members from varying musical backgrounds. They aim to create singular music experiences. In the case of Thursday’s gig, the setting of the music of Ólafur Arnalds in the vast space of the Pepper Canister Church with accompanying visual and lighting design is done with a view to marrying sound and space. The selection of music is done to present an accessible contemporary artist in an impressive yet friendly way. Going forward, the group will continue to try and create these visceral experiences in interesting settings.” – Michael Stone (Glasshouse)

Dublin music ensemble Glasshouse are proud to present a live performance of Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnald’s second full-length album …And They Have Escaped the Weight of Darkness. The occasion will take place in the intimate surroundings of the Pepper Canister Church in Dublin 2, which will be transformed by striking lighting design and visual installation. Commencing at 20:30 sharp, the ensemble will perform the album in its entirety before presenting a selection of favourites from Arnalds’ body of work.

The evening promises to be a joyous celebration of Icelandic music and of the relationship between Ireland and Iceland. Glasshouse are thrilled to have the support of Ólafur Arnalds and the Embassy of Iceland in London for this very special event.
