With Dublin as its backdrop and music at its heart, Once the musical came home to Dublin’s Grafton Street as the full cast – including the two leads, Tom Parsons and Megan Riordan – gathered together for a surprise, live performance of some of the best-loved songs from the smash-hit, award-winning musical. Crowds gathered initially to listen to Tom Parsons busk and then watched with delight as cast members emerged from an array of streets, shops and cafes, performing hits ‘Leave’, ‘Falling Slowly’, and finishing with a rousing singalong of ‘Rocky Road To Dublin’ and ‘Red Haired Mary’.

The stunning music was performed by the brilliant cast of actor-musicians. They include Tom Parsons as Guy, Megan Riordan as Girl, Sandra Dowd Callaghan as Baruska, Jamie Cameron as Bank Manager,  Phelim Drew as Billy, Lisa Fox as Ex-Girfriend, Bob Kelly as Eamon, Michael Mahony as Emcee, Bill Murphy as Da, Dylan Reid as Andrej, Rickie O’Neill as Svec and Ruth Westley as Reza.

The music in Once is played live on stage by an extraordinary cast of actor-musicians, who between them play 30 instruments in each show.

Winner of eight Tony Awards – including Best Musical – two Olivier Awards and a Grammy Award for BestMusical Theatre Album, the show features all of the magical songs from the original film, including the Oscar-winning Falling Slowly.
