Are we living in a golden age for the Blockbuster? Week after week, the biggest movies of the summer get good reviews, and it’s really surprising. I guess Marvel have upped the standard of the blockbuster in general, but there is another option that we can’t rule out, and that’s that critics are getting dumber! Yes, I know I’m a critic (kinda).

This week we get a new Michel Gondry. I’ve basically enjoyed everything he’s ever made, even when the critics haven’t so I’m looking forward to some sweetness and amazing visuals! Guardians of the Galaxy will also have to be seen at some stage. Not a bad haul, all in all. Note: I’m ignoring the existence of the latest ‘Step up’ movie, you should to.
