This promises to be a difficult night at the Theatre, as it is a topic many wouldn’t dare to touch.  You may remember the story as one that hit the headlines a couple of years back, of the Delhi gang rape, as a young woman was raped while travelling on a private bus in Delhi.

The name of the play is Nirbhaya, which translates as ‘fearless’, says it all.

The Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire is set to host the powerful play Nirbhaya, written and directed by renowned playwright Yael Farber from Monday 21 July – Saturday 2 August 2014. On the night of December 16th 2012, a young woman and her male friend boarded a bus in urban Delhi heading for home. What followed changed the lives of these two people and countless others forever.
