Every time I listen to Gillian Welch, I think I should listen to her more. What does that mean? I don’t listen to her much, possibly. I first came accross her in the same place most people did, on the soundtrack of ‘Oh Brother, where art thou’ where she sings ‘I’ll fly away’ with Alison Krauss. She’s also worked with teh Decemberists, and has a number of top class albums of her own.
She’s playing the Grand Canal Theatre on the 17th of November. I’m scared to ask how much the tickets are, but the prices doesn’t seem to be announced yet.
No More Workhorse 
I have her album Soul Journey which I like lots. Same thing though, probably don’t listen to her enough. Look at Miss Ohio is a great song off that album.
