There is little purpose for a short movie. I guess they show them occasionally before a feature, but no one pays in to see them (unless they’re collected together as part of a film festival or something!).

Still, Spike Jonze likes ’em, and has made a few over the years. His Scenes of the Suburbs short with Arcade Fire is available here.

I’m pretty sure this one will be better though (ok, I’m biased against anything involving Arcade Fire!). I saw this one in the Galway Arts Festival a few years ago, and it’s lovely really…
