June 11th this year is the IFI’s open day. If you’ve been to one before, you know how it works, but for those who don’t, it’s a free movie day! You have to get there at 11 am as that’s when they start giving out the tickets. It’s on a first come, first served basis, with a maximum of four tickets per person. No phone or internet booking allowed unfortunately.
It’s a pretty good line up again this year, with a few old gems as well as a few movies I’ve always meant to see, but never got around to.
Labyrinth, Sunrise, Jack Goes Boating – 12.30
Life, Above All, I Can’t . . . I Can’t, Donnie Darko – 2.30
Pierrot le fou, A Night at the Opera, Cell 211 – 4.15, 4.40 and 4.45 respectively!
The Honeymoon Killers, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, Sensation – 6.20, 6.40 and 7.00 respectively
Armadillo, Audience Choice, Cave of Forgotten Dreams – 9.00, 9.10 and 9.20 respectively.
