“This Spring it’s inner city versus outer space” or something equally dreadful says the tag line for ‘Attack the Block’ the directorial debut from Joe Cornish (Adam and Joe). It’s getting fair to good reviews in most places, and is a well written low budget sci fi movie that seems to be the best of the new releases this week.

The other release getting decent reviews is ‘A Screaming Man’ wwhich won the jury prize at last year’s Cannes film festival. It’s the story of inter generational angst set against civil war torn Chad.
