Is this the story of a woman trapped in a man’s body, or more likely the story of journalists who do less checking that I do! The New York Times runs with the story of Ms. Edna Kenny, the new prime minister of Ireland. You have to love it.

Great stuff. My mum always liked to bring up in conversation the ‘obviously completely false, I mean did you ever hear the like’ rumour that Ms. Edna was a cross dresser. So I found this particularly funny. Then again maybe the NYT has more information than we know…
You know what they say, there’s no smoke without fire! There’s definitely something to it…Dame Enda!
It only lasted on the NY times web site for a few hours, supposedly, but its pretty shocking. You’d think they’d have loads of sub editors and editors so something like that could never happen.
