Two gigs of interest, in odd venues (as mentioned above).

The first one being Ann Scott playing the International bar on Sunday the 18th and 25th of July. I saw Ann play with Katell Keineg a few years ago, and was impressed. She has a lovely voice and probably worth checking out. The other odd thing is that the gig is on at 4.30 in the afternoon! Very rock and roll!

The other gig is Fionn Regan playing the workmen’s club. This is a new venue to Dublin, located beside the Clarence hotel, which is meant to be top notch. Here’s hoping it’ll mean the end of the village as a venue, and maybe even the Academy two (dirty hole in the gound that it is!). Pvt play the same venue on the 9th of September, which could be fun also.

Kristen Hersh plays Whelans next Monday also, which is tempting me at the moment. I will try to be strong!
