This is the work of artist Slinkachu, who is described as a minaturist. He places and photographs his tiny figures in real world situations, with them observing us from afar, so to speak. They’re quite fun, and well worth a look. He has a blog here, and his web site is here 

After he has finished taking photographs of his model, they are left in state, for the rest of the world to come upon, like most street artists, which adds to the excitement, but i guess most of them just get stood on or kicked. Still, its nice to know that they’re out there!
