Competition: Slow Hands – Button Factory – 23/02/13

Artwork. Slow Hands

Airbound is a floating festival! I kid you not. It is a travelling Irish mini-festival taking place on Good Friday March 29th in London with a night time cruise down the Thames in a luxurious replica of a 19th century Mississippi Paddleboat. Sounds bizarre and wonderful!

To celebrate the launch of this festival, Hidden Agenda and Airbound are hosting a party on Feb 23rd in the Button Factory. The evening’s entertainment takes the form of a double header of live music from Slow Hands, I Am The Cosmos and a dj set from Cait & Orlando.

Slow Hands (aka Ryan Cavanagh)  hails from New York and sounds nicely all over the place. The name Slow hands comes from an Eric Clapton album, and he studied Jazz and Classical guitar composition before turning to dj-ing, remixing and production. We’re told the set in Dublin will involve guitar and vocals while keeping the dance floor grooving!

Ross Turner and Cian Murphy aka I Am The Cosmos have just released their debut album, which you can hear here.

Competition: Thanks to our friends in Hidden Agenda, we’ve two tickets to give away to one lucky winner. Just mail us and say ‘hi’ at nomoreworkhorse@gmail.com (by Tuesday the 19th) to be in with a chance of winning.

Button Factory, doors 11pm, Advance Tickets €8.
